Reciprocating Clubs
To The Members of Lake Ontario Yacht Clubs:
Please refer to the Reciprocal Repository on the LOCCA website at at
http://locca.org/reciprocal-repository/
for information on reciprocal yacht clubs.
Chart your course for 44 02.51 N x 76 08.47 W for a visit to the eastern end of Lake Ontario and a stay at the Crescent Yacht Club. Each year, many cruising folks from reciprocal yacht clubs around the lake discover the quiet hospitality of Crescent Yacht Club. Please plan to join us.
Visiting yachts from reciprocal yacht clubs may enjoy their first nights stay at CYC for free. The fee for subsequent nights, up to a maximum of three, is a flat rate of $25.00 per night regardless of boat length. Visitors who wish to stay longer may do so, but may be asked to move to the Marina in order to make room for new arrivals. We ask that you sign our guest register located on the table in the foyer as you enter the clubhouse. You will also find a "drop box" and envelopes for your dockage payment when staying for more than one night.
Our space for transient dockage is limited to four boats on our "L" dock immediately in front of the clubhouse. Although it is rare that our "L" dock is full, space is on first come first serve basis. We usually can assure minimum depths of 4 to 6 ft. of water along the wall. Rafting is permitted on the "L". Care is advised if tying up to the outside of the dock with our prevailing SW winds.
Additional transient dock space may be available from Bearup Marina on our grounds at a nominal charge when resident yachts are away cruising. The marina offers 24/7 gasoline, pump-out, ice, and a full-time mechanic on duty 7 days a week.
The village of Chaumont, NY is less than 10 minutes easy walk from the club and offers a hardware store for all of your "fix-it" needs, a laundromat, and ATMs in several locations. There are restaurants and an ice cream shop for your enjoyment as well as 2 pizza shops that will deliver.
Stroll to town and enjoy the historic old architecture of some of the buildings and the beautiful plantings of the community garden club. You may also run across one of the frequent art shows or antiques sales held during the summer months. A map of Chaumont with locations of merchants, restaurants, and interesting sights are also made available.
The members and officers of Crescent Yacht Club look forward to meeting new friends and visiting with old ones. Come cruising to Crescent and enjoy "One of the Best kept secrets" on Lake Ontario. We wish you smooth sailing.
